Who we are
A couple living in the Bay Area with a passion for travel, romance, and making them both meet in the best way possible. We have been to a good many places. And we love sharing that passion for traveling with others.
Why we built it
Two people, one week, and rarely the same trip.
Chapters began with a simple observation. Two people can love each other completely and still want very different things from the same week away. One wants to cover ground; the other wants a long lunch. One wants the famous view; the other wants somewhere nobody has heard of.
Most trips are planned by quietly averaging the two, and neither person quite gets their trip. So we built it the other way round.
You each answer on your own, ten questions, in under twenty minutes each. Neither of you sees the other’s answers until the end. Then you see both shapes side by side, where you meet and where you don’t, and three places chosen for the two of you together.
We are early, and some of it is still rough. If a question felt wrong, a place felt off, or something delighted you, write to us. We read every note.
Answer honestly rather than generously. The shape is only as useful as it is true.
We only write about a place after we have checked it: the hotel, the layout of the rooms, and what guests say who stayed there last month. That is why we show you three places chosen for you, and not a list of everywhere.
